History of Caldwell County, Missouri
As written in the 1876 Atlas of Caldwell County Missouri

The following accounts were written by Crosby Johnson for the 1876 Atlas of Caldwell County.

I've listed the major headings as they appear in the book on the right.

Crosby Johnson writes:

"Conclusion.  In writing the sketch of Caldwell, we have aimed to omit all merely personal incidents, and to state only such facts connected with the history of the County as we thought had more than a personal or local interest.  As the work will be read chiefly by citizedns of the County we thought it unneccessary to state facts with regard to location of towns, business men & c. [sic] , known to all."
